Job Description

In our aged care RN jobs, our team deliver comprehensive nursing care in our clients' homes or in their residential aged care facility, assessing health, administering medications, and providing health education. You will supervise, mentor, and delegate tasks to staff, ensuring safe, effective care that meets our clients' unique needs – health, social, and psychiatric. With flexible casual, full-time, and part-time roles available, you'll be instrumental in enhancing our clients' quality of life while maintaining your own work-life balance.

Duties

  • Delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care
  • Assessing and observing, and communicating to patients
  • Recording details and symptoms of current health
  • Communicating with physicians
  • Interacting with insurance providers (if required)
  • Perform physical exams and record health histories before making critical decisions
  • Provide health promotion, counselling, and education
  • Preparing patients for exams and treatment
  • Administer medications and other personalized interventions
  • Monitoring patients for side effects and reactions
  • Wound care and skin integrity

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Registration with AHPRA

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 months employment, including clinical placements.
  • Having a positive attitude and empathetic nature.

  • Professional – human, friendly, but not needy or dependent.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills by not only verbalising communication but by being attentive to what clients have to say too.
