Our ideal candidate for AIN jobs in aged care has a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support, a First Aid Certification, and experience in working with the elderly. Job Description

Your primary responsibility as an AIN in aged care involves providing individualised support to clients with diverse needs, including people with dementia. Your duties include offering personal care, assisting with mobility and domestic tasks, and preparing meals. You may also accompany clients to appointments, engage them in light exercise, and provide assistance with their daily living activities. As an integral member of our team, you'll relish a job with heart and purpose, providing quality care to the elderly in their homes or a residential aged care facility. Your caring spirit, listening skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of our care team will be pivotal to your success.

Essential Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support
  • First aid certificate

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • Certificate IV/Diploma in Aged Care or Individual Support
  • Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing (including overseas qualifications)
  • Drivers Licence


  • Experience in working with the Elderly.
  • Having a positive attitude and empathetic nature.
  • Being aware of realistic goals and limitations – making sure you understand each person and their strengths, needs, goals, and support needs.
  • Consistency and ability to follow through.
  • Professional – human, friendly, but not needy or dependent.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills by not only verbalising communication but by being attentive to what clients have to say too.
