Care For Family is recruiting for the positions of Disability Care Worker and Private Disability Support Worker. In these roles, our ideal candidate will help to empower and encourage our clients to improve their quality of life. You will be passionate about providing both emotional and physical support to clients, by speaking with them about their needs and listening to their concerns. Job Description

In your role as a Disability Care Worker or Private Disability Support Worker, you will provide care to people in the community living with mental health conditions or physical disabilities. Your duties will include personal hygiene facilitation, mobility support, shopping tasks, food preparation, housework tasks, and the coordination of social events. You may also help clients with applying for jobs, disability grants, and housing loans.

Experience

Having a positive attitude. Being aware of realistic goals and limitations – making sure you understand each person and their strengths, needs, goals and support needs. Consistency and ability to follow through. Professional – human, friendly, but not needy or dependent. Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills by not only verbalising communication but by being attentive to what clients have to say too. Professionals need to have an empathetic nature and care about each individual’s capability and provide services to build on client’s independence and personal development.

Salary / Pay

  • We generally offer higher rates of pay than all other care providers in and around Sydney
  • AUD per hour Minimum is $25 -$35
  • Pro-rated amount
